We had a great tour kick off party in Los Angeles last night with our friends from Oakland Silian Rail, now it’s time to hit the road! Check out the dates, we’d love to see you at one of these shows!!!

The fine folks at Buzz Bands LA had plenty of kind words for us while premiering our new music video today. Check out the band performing “Son” from the rooftop of a downtown Los Angeles building in the middle of the night. Needless to say, it was a stolen location that eventually got us shut down, but by then we’d done the damage. Many thanks to directors and visionaries Tuan Quoc Le and Casey Levental!! Check it out for yourself!!

Summer Darling will be hitting the road for a west coast swing in early August to showcase some of our new material and destroy some of the hits from the last record. All dates are with our fine and talented friends from Northern California, Silian Rail.

We play the Santa Monica stage at Silver Lake Jubilee this Saturday at 7:40pm! We’ll be performing some new songs as well as some classics from last year’s self-titled record. What a whirlwind weekend it has been!!! On our way to begin filming the music video for “My Reminder” we got the call that we were opening Sebadoh’s sold-out show at the Echoplex in Los Angeles. Through the gracious flexibility of our road and filming crew we were able to film the video while simultaneously performing a blistering set of new and old jams for a packed house last night by shuttling back and forth from the venue to the shoot location. It was an unbelievable experience to film an exciting video as well as an honor to perform with legendary and influential artists Sebadoh!!

We are excited to announce that we will be performing at Local Folk Fest alongside our good friends Nico Stai + Voxhaul Broadcast, Sea of Cortez and more Saturday, March 5th! Tickets are on sale now.

Though it seems to be all quiet on the western front for us in Summer Darling, it’s been quite the contrary. We’ve been auditioning drummers to some success and we hope to announce a new full time member soon. We’ve also been hard at work writing new material for our next record, and while we have a couple of songs in the can, there’s still many more ideas to be fleshed out.
